Fire Emblem Heroes Celebrates Familial Love with New Sibling Duos

Written by | Gaming, Mobile Apps, Nintendo

Fire Emblem Heroes has unveiled four new heroes, available in a new focus group called “Family Bonds” with twins Ephraim and Eirika from the Gameboy Advanced title Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and half-siblings Julia and Seliph from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (who knew #HolyWar would be making such a fun comeback) making their mobile debut. Previous focus characters like Marth, Roy, and Lucina aren’t being retired, but they will be slightly more difficult to get than before.

The update also comes with some new paralogue missions and quests so you hopefully won’t suffer an orb drought just yet.

Fire Emblem Heroes also appears to be readily listening to players’ feedback. The two free orbs login bonus will continue through mid March. Additionally, many features that were designed to shamelessly drain stamina have been revamped.  Equipping skills will never cost stamina, and the halved stamina requirements for the training tower will stay slashed indefinitely.

These new features are a good sign for players because they demonstrate that Nintendo is likely to continue updating and improving the game with solid regards to player feedback.

Fire Emblem

Weird, but kind of cute.

Oh my, did Nintendo just acknowledge what I think they did? Jaime and Cersei Lannister, meet Ephraim and Eirika!

The Family Bonds Focus runs until February 27th at 2 AM! With some luck or a lot of cash, you’ll be able to add a new brother or sister to your party. I was lucky enough to snag a dreamy five-star Ephraim—let me just add that the power creep is very real!
