The moment we have all been waiting for has arrived. In less than two weeks the Nintendo Switch will be released, and there’s a laundry list of accessories that will be available along with it. Let’s take a quick look at a few products that will enable you to get the most out of your Switch.
Nintendo Switch Joy Con Controllers $79.99
Joy Con Controllers are a huge part of the Switch’s appeal. Unfortunately, If for some reason you lose or break your Joy Cons, an extra pair of these tiny remotes will run you $80. Individually the Joy Cons (L/R) cost $49.99. I’m sure the steep pricing is a major turn off for most people. For that much, you might as well invest in a Pro Controller but to each their own.
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller $69.99
The Pro Controller serves as an alternative to the Joy Con controllers that come packaged in with the system. It comes equipped with motion controls, HD rumble, and built-in Amiibo functionality. A Pro Controller will cost you ten more bucks than a DualShock 4 would. Despite the high price, this is a must buy for many Switch owners.
Nintendo Switch Charging Joy Con Grip $29.99
The Joy Con grip is designed to bring the controllers together to form one larger traditional gaming controller (just in case gimmicks aren’t really your thing). Unfortunately the grip that comes with the system does not charge your controllers while you use it, so they made one that did. I’ll most likely charge my Joy Cons the normal way, but this is a nice option.
Nintendo Switch Deluxe Game Case $12.99
Now that Nintendo has switched (no pun intended) back to cartridges, a Deluxe Game Case might be a must buy. The game cards are very small and could be easy to lose. If you don’t like keeping the game box after purchase you will want to consider this purchase. The case can hold up to 24 game cards, and for $13 you can’t go wrong.
Nintendo Switch Console Case $14.99
The whole point of the Switch is that you can take it anywhere right? Well with that in mind Nintendo created a travel case to make your Switch even more portable. This is a very useful product especially if you plan on taking your system outdoors often, whether it’s in your hand or in your backpack. And speaking of backpacks…
Nintendo Switch Elite Player Backpack $49.99
Now here is something I’ve never seen before. The Nintendo Switch Elite Player Backpack can hold the Switch console, the dock, multiple controllers, game cards, cables, full sized headphones, and a Pro Controller. So you can take with you pretty much everything you need to play the Switch. Now that’s Elite.
Nintendo Switch steering wheel $14.99
Right out of the gate Nintendo will have a racing game accessory. After you buy a pair of wheels all you have to do is snap in the Joy Cons. It’ll obviously be great for Mario Kart and hopefully we’ll be able to use it for a future F-Zero title.
Which accessories will you be getting for your Switch? Let us know in the comments!
