Greetings geeks and gamers! November is gearing up to be a BIG month for gaming. Let’s check out some of the releases that are bound to make your Christmas list or be day 1 purchases.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare/ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered – November 4th
The behemoth that is the Call of Duty franchise will be releasing its latest installment in two days, alongside the remastered version of COD4. I haven’t been faithful to the series since Black Ops 2 and I don’t think that’ll change this Friday. Nevertheless it continues to grow with each annual release and I don’t see that declining anytime soon. Let’s hope Infinity Ward delivers some original and immersive gameplay rather than a whole bunch of jumping around.
PlayStation 4 Pro- November 10th
If you’ve been waiting to purchase a PS4 then now is definitely the time to do so. The PS4 Pro boasts many improvements over the original which includes 4K TV support, a higher GPU, improved functionality for the PlayStation VR, and 1 TB of storage. All for the same amount of money that the original was when it launched. Need I say more?
Nintendo NES Mini console- November 11th
All retro gaming fans were beyond hype when Nintendo announced this mini bundle of fun. 30 pre-installed NES classics and an authentic NES controller that can connect to your Wii U to play virtual console. It’s only 60 bucks and it comes with an HDMI cord. This system can be a great start for any young gamers that want to get a taste of what they missed. Unfortunately the NES mini cannot play our old cartridges but hey it’s a steal either way.
Assassins Creed: The Ezio Collection – November 15th
Wasn’t sure whether to include this one or not but I think the concept is pretty interesting. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a remaster, I guess it’s more of a re-release. It’s no secret that the Assassins Creed franchise has lost its steam over the years, so why not capitalize on past success? After all Ezio is arguably the most favorited and iconic assassin in the franchise. Hopefully Ubisoft will be working on making the next AC game as good as the Ezio trilogy in the time being. And hey…whatever happened to Connor?
Pokémon Sun and Moon – November 18th
Seems like Pokémon is everywhere these days and I couldn’t be more glad about that. Capitalizing on the success of Pokémon Go is a genius move from Nintendo. As a result of that, Pokémon Sun and Moon is the most pre-ordered game in Nintendo’s history. A truly remarkable accolade considering the history and legacy of the company.
Final Fantasy 15 – November 29th
Like it or not Final Fantasy is a huge deal. It’s been 6 years since the last main installment so the anticipation and excitement around this game cannot be fathomed. I’ve never been a huge Final Fantasy fan, but the trailer looks incredible. What the heck I might just give this one a go.
The Walking Dead Season 3- November 15th??
We’ve been through all of the heartbreaks and jaw dropping moments of Clementine’s childhood. Well now she’s all grown and as badass as ever. Season 2 left many unanswered questions and the fans want, no, NEED closure. It’ll be very interesting to see the evolution of Clementine, not only as a young woman but as a survivor of an apocalyptic world. We aren’t worried at all though, those shooting lessons from Lee have gotten her this far. According to several retail sites the game will be released on the 15th, however this has not been confirmed by Telltale. (though it probably is the release date).
Are you stoked for this month’s releases? Any games you think I might’ve missed? Let us know in the comments below!
