Way Back Wednesday: Sims 2: Pets (GameCube)

Wassup gamers! It’s GODmadethunder here with the May 18th, 2016 edition of Way Back Wednesday!! Today’s game will be Sims 2: Pets for the Nintendo GameCube.

The Sims games have been known for its point and click God mode gameplay. You create people in a simulated video game world and you control their lives. You can make your Sim prosper and live great, or you can straight up destroy and deprive them. The series is insanely fun which is why it’s so popular.

This game is very dear to me. It’s one of the first games I played for the GameCube, which is my favorite system. Basically what they did was add pets to Sims 2. If it came out in this generation it would be probably be released as DLC, but this was back then so it was an entirely new game. Players are able to do almost anything they want: get married, get a job, prank call people, make a website *wink*, throw a party, design your house, etc. etc. etc. You can also breed your animals, if you have two cats or two dogs. Mixing two different breeds will create a mutt which is pretty cool. Instead of actually working for my money I just used a cheat gnome. This is the ONLY GAME that I would highly recommend cheating since you need a boat load of cash in order to really have fun. Without it the game gets boring and repetitive, but it’ll probably end up becoming boring and repetitive anyway.

Sims 2: Pets gets a 7 out of 10 from me.
