Election Day 2016: The importance of voting and the beauty of gaming

Written by | Opinion

Hello everyone! I wanted to take a detour from what we usually talk about here at ComedyNGaming to quickly say some things about the importance of voting.

Now I know politics have very little to do with gaming, but this is CNG which means anything and everything is open for discussion. 2016 in general has been a pretty bumpy year for the United States. Never in my lifetime have I seen the country this divided by a presidential election, to put it bluntly it’s very disheartening.

One of these candidates will lead the free world for the next four years

It doesn’t matter if you support Clinton or Trump, if you’re a democrat or republican, or if you’re a conservative or a liberal. What matters is that you make your opinion heard. No opinion should ever be censored. That is the FOUNDATION that our country was built on, and in a time like this we mustn’t take that privilege for granted. If you still need some more motivation, just think about all the people in the world that don’t have that right. Think about all the people in the world who would die and have died for the right for their voice to be heard. 7 billion people living on earth, and you’re apart of the small percentage that has been given that right. So please, while there’s still time, go out and vote.
Nevertheless within the midst of all this electoral madness we have video games to keep our sanity intact. Don’t worry my friends, even if you’re selected candidate doesn’t win we still have games at the end of the today. That’s the beauty of gaming after all. Always there when you need it and always ready to bring people together.

GODmadethunder out.
