Nintendo President, Tatsumi Kimishima spoke to Japanese newspaper “The Nikkei” for an interview. He brought to light some interesting details about the Switch’s upcoming online service. A Nintendo Online subscription will cost about $17.50-26.50 annually. That’s about half of what Sony and Microsoft currently charge for their yearly online services. It’s still unclear what exactly a Nintendo Switch subscription will consist of, but we do know that there will be monthly free virtual console games available for subscribers.
Kimishima also mentioned that the Nintendo has been “studying” VR technology. They plan to add it to the Switch after inventing a way for us to play VR continuously without strain. This is very exciting news for the gamers planning on getting the Switch. Nintendo understands the gaming shift toward Virtual Reality and that will definitely contribute to the chance of the Switch being successful.
